The huzz and I just got home from a fun dinner date at Crave, a popular restaurant here in the twin cities. It’s located right next to our favorite theater, but interestingly enough we’ve only been there one other time. So, we thought it’d be the perfect place to revisit tonight for our weekly date night. And, we were definitely not disappointed.
We started the night off with a Baked Brie in Puff Pastry appetizer. Oh Lordy, was it ever melty and gooey and delicious. I thought briefly how great this would be made miniature style and served at a holiday party, or really any party any time of year. I do have a couple of quick and easy go-to appetizer recipes that I can put together in just a few minutes, but today I want to share with you this delectable brie finger food that is sure to please even your pickiest guest.
While it is true that anything made with brie cheese is simply amazing, these babies are like a melty, tart, buttery party in your mouth. And, they aren’t too bad on the eyes either ~ just look at them! Is your mouth salivating like mine is? The appetizer that the huzz and I had tonight was more like a popover in puff pastry with brie in the middle. They served it with whole cranberries on the side. Now, I’m not complaining one bit about what we had, but I gotta admit that these cute little gems are dancing around in my head tonight. And, I’m so full!
